My wife is about 5' 6". The frames are on the more compact size because they are women's specific, but I think if someone was less than 5'4", then this would be too big a frame.

The Lyrik at 160mm would probably feel great for downhilling, but it would be a bit tall/slack for any sustained pedaling/climbing. The nice thing with the 2-step is that you can drop it to 115mm and it totally steepens the bike and gets your weight over the front for climbing. I had the fork on my Pitch and briefly on my Enduro and I would just drop it for XC rides or climbs and then put it back to full travel to enjoy the downs. You can just reach down and flick the 2-step lever while you're riding. It's a pretty versatile fork.
